After info on a bike accident in Marlborough a few weeks back.

A delicate subject i guess but after some info re a bike accident on a Patriots poker run up in Blenheim awhile back, reason is ive a friend who has found himself in a whole lotta strife regarding it,he was 100m or so behind the guy that didnt take a corner at the end of a very long straight but a few days after the event had the law turn up and take his bike and cell phone. On the statement of a guy somewhat behind him hes facing some pretty bad charges etc and somewhat f@rked off and obviously concerned about the whole thing, any info apprec from anyone there via here or a pm.Ta.

Doesn't make sense to me that your mate would get done.

Seems like your missing something out on purpose.
Fear is never a reason to quit. It's only an excuse.

What do you think? Obviously someone said that the dudes mate, and the one who crashed were fooling around. Either that or the guy cut him off into a ditch from 100meters back, which is pretty impressive

No theres nothing left out on purpose or otherwise,it is as i posted.Doesnt make sense to him either, didnt ask for your take on what "seems" just asked for any info from anyone there.....simple really.A long shot but thought you never know. The guy stopped and as the first to do so did what he could for the rider, who was still conscious,1/2 an hour later he left, there was at that stage a heap of other blokes (who knew the guy) there also doing what they could. The bloke in question rides a yellow bike, the cops have taken his bike because there was yellow paint on the pack rack of the guys bike that crashed and according to the Buell rider that gave a statement to the cops it was because this bloke tangled with him going into the corner.Facts as been given to me are that the cops have worked out that the guy who crashed was doing approx 160 kmh when the accident took place, theres not a mark on the bloke i know involveds bike and his version is simply that at the end of the straight the guy just didnt take the corner,he was 100m or so behind and watched it happen. The bloke i know did what most would do and did his best to help but its all gone pear shaped for him and whilst he doesnt believe theres any chance of matching paint to a bike that he didnt collide with its a bummer of a thing to have hanging over head, that aside its kind of fucked his xmas.Take your it "seems" theories and shove em eh.

Sorry to hear about it. Obviously he's not going to get done for it, but still pretty rank having you bike taken away, mostly because I've heard some horror stories about towing companies. I wonder what the buel rider was smoking to get that picture. I'm probably stating the obvious here, but if your mate was on a ride with the Patriots, couldn't he just call someone in the know with them who would know at least a few other riders from that trip?

Dont think he knows any of them,as i understand it the poker run was advertised and he just went along, possibly it was held to raise money for something,no idea.Problem he has is that the damage is done i guess, his bikes been takin so in Joe publics eye hes assumed guilty. No idea what the Buell guys up to,is it just a reaction to seeing his mate killed (he was taken off life support a week ago) or i guess as he was a fair way back down the long straight possibly 2 bikes in the distance then one fails to take the corner it looked like the other was involved..dunno.The bloke i know found the whole accident and dealing with the bloke pretty traumatic but to then be accused of causing it is pretty devastating really. No doubt things will pan out ok for him but a bastard of a thing to have hanging over your head.
