RIP, my thoughts are with his family, and the next time I am out riding in that area I will be thinking of him.

no good mate, no good... RIP
NO That is not inappropriate. That is deffinatly how Sam lived. He learnt how to drive young and " Pimped his ride " a dingy station wagon into a fluro green "Flyin" machine. Kitted out with fat sounds etc the works.
Addrenaline Junnkie is the word.
Sam also learnt how to Fly. Crazy Kid A.
i never had the chance to meet him but he sounds like a great dude.
RIP
Sounds like someone who I would have gotten along with real well if I had the chance to get to know him.Originally Posted by Easy ride?

Saddened to hear the news, I met Sam just the once - a few weeks ago on the Jim2 "Running In Ride". From our brief encounter I could tell he was a special guy and a special rider and I know that he enjoyed doing what he was doing - that is all that matters right now. RIP
pretentious moi?
Hi Everyone,
I've actually known a few of you for a while through Sam being on this thread so frequently, though this is the first time I've posted here, needless to say, I wish I could have met you under different circumstances.
I would like to firstly express the most sincere and heartfelt thanks from those to whom you have sent your thoughts and condolences, to let you know that we are thinking of you also and this has been an enormous shock to a lot of people.
I have visited Sam's Parents at their house in tawa, and let them know of this thread, and will be taking a copy along with me as this is very precious for them.
Obviously, there are still a lot of details to be confirmed, however, I can say that there will be opportunities for people to Celebrate Sam's in a variety of ways over the coming week. Paul and Jane have asked that details be circulated privately, rather than in this forum, hence, it may be a good idea to co-ordinate a distribution list of private email addresses for correspondence.
Personally, I share many many many memories with Sam, he will be painfully missed, but always with a smile in his memory. I will be in attendance at a memorial ride in his honour when it is organised and look forward to meeting some of you there.
Til then,
My thoughts are with you in your times of realisation and experience through this tragedy, thank you again for your messages, Jimbo especially, thank you, and to those others that have shared the road with Sam ... there's not really anything I can say .... thank you for being a part of his family, he loved you and spoke very highly of you, I'm sure he'll be glad you were there with him.
Elaine, please phone or e-mail me - leading_panther@yahoo.co.nz

We are all deeply saddened By this accident.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
Having read the whole of this thread, I cannot leave without passing on my
sincere condolences to Sam's family and friends. Lynda and I were enjoying the same road yesterday. Its horrible to think...sorry, know that a such a young life has been lost in such a lovely peaceful part of the world. We will always think of Sam when we take that route now. We never met you, but may your new life be as peaceful as the place where you left us.
the herald have reported on the accident. so sad.
OMG, I had no idea this would affect me so much. I've never met Sam, but I feel a huge connection with him and his family right now. This has hit home hard the reality of motorcycle riding. It has without a doubt changed my attitude to how I will ride in the future.
I know it's just one more person saying it, but the deepest condolences to his friends and family. It's been all I can think about today.
I was also on "Jim's running in ride" a few weeks ago and met Flyin.
I'm not a fast rider, but not particularly slow and I tell ya he flew past me up the taka's and was gone. Making that ZZR work.
Good dude!
RIP
