Flowers or some form of donation is a great idea, as is a notice in the paper. We need to set up somewhere to send donations to ASAP.
Never met Sam, but your responses have put a big lump in my throat too.

I've just caught up with all the posts about Sam. I sure hope that all the people who were with him are ok. There's nothing worse than knowing that you can't help.

Just my 2 cents, but a memorial run sounds like a good idea. Perhaps we could all sign a card to be forwarded to his family as a sign of our respect.

    RIP Sam.

That would be awesome. This with his profile in a "Honored Sky Riders" Thread for those of us that have past away would be a cool way of keeping it real for the rest of us.

I'll go with that, but only on the basis that it doesn't happen before his family decides to post a death notice (or not).

Has anybody spoken with his family or friends at all?

Shit that's scary. Four motorcyclists in one spot. I remember hearing about the two guys killed by the American tourist but didn't realise it was the same spot.

Makes it all seem even worse.

Of course: I'd assumed that, but I'm glad you pointed this out.
His girlfriend has posted on the Urgent thread. I think Frosty may have already spooken to her. Elaine is a friend of his and his family's (and a member) but I'm not too sure how often she posts. I think she's been watching this, though. I'm guessing we'll know what they think soon enough.
