They pushed it off the track and it'd roll OK for a couple of metres then lock up the rear.

Thanks to topo, I've got a std 640 Enduro seat/tank/shrouds fitted, bolted straight on. 12L and about 5cm or so narrower each side than the big tank Nordie you'd be pleased! Interesting the low point of the seat curve is slightly rearward than the A, but the top is lower and closer to the fuel cap; plus there is much less foam so overall it is lower.

The G450X appears to be just minor niggles, sticky clutch plates etc. He's using a different oil and made a couple of adjustments, apparently they can be a bit finicky and there's lots of tweaks that can be done. Doesn't appear to be anything mechanically serious wrong with it.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Doesn't the 450 have the clutch on the crank?
Very picky with adjustments as David Knight found.

    Narrower tank is good.

Dunno, but he's been reading/researching/talking to dealers; will mention it. He didn't have any issues in that regard during the weekend, did some suspension tuning and bar positioning, he's a much happier chappie now.
    Cheers,
