Hmmmm... They're all more than 100hp more than my bike... I remember a couple or three years ago someone said about the GSX-R1000, "I dare you to hold the throttle wide open for three seconds..!"

I can hold my throttle wide open for a bit longer than that. Still get to work about the same time and had no problems on a bike tour with a 1200S Bandit and a GSX1400 and the 1400 rider asked if my bike was in fact a thou...

Still love to have a ride on one of these though...

Once 100 mph was an impressive speed out of a motorcycle. Any big bore bike made in the past 5 years or more will do that in second ...........

You understand it's power not weight? :-)

Yeah - there is a valid point here. What's the point of a million horses at a zillion rpm on a public road.

The BMW S1000RR looks simply stunning... looks like a schizophrenic whore...

I am sure it has the most useable power with ABS and traction control....

Santa can I've been a really good boy can I get one for Christmas in Black...

all of those bikes will have seriously ueseable power....and that is the appeal of the 1000's.you can ride them in the midrange and despatch ANY other vehicle with the merest twitch of the throttle.

The BM's start at $22k over here...got nice spec...a shame about the looks - mind you, most of the modern crop are...an aquired taste.....

Power corrupts.....obscene power corrupts obscenely......(just ask Crazy Steve)........great innit.
