Some time ago someone mentioned a KB rally. Not too sure if this is the appropiate time but my suggestion for a memorial would be a rally named after Flyin', the Flyin' Rally. Any thought on this from other KBer's.

Since a lot of people won't be able to attend the funeral, how about a Sunday ride out to Gladstone to lay flowers? I was thinking maybe meeting about 10.30?
If someone who knew him better has a better suggestion (like maybe a favourite place of his instead) that'd be great.
Obviously, as always, us city types could start from WMC and then meet others at Caltex, etc. If you think this is a dumb idea or anything, please feel free to say so.

I'm sure other people will be coming in cages. I think it's more important that you make it, not how you make it. Several folk are bikeless just now- I'm sure someone can give you a lift.

black sash/armband on Friday for Sam

The auckland contingent that can't make the funeral on Friday could wear a black arm band/sash on the forearm over the leathers as a mark of mourning when we are on our bikes this friday. I know I will- It's so so sad.

Being there is more important than HOW you got there. You can hitch a lift on the Guzzler if you can take the pain mate....

I don't know what to do.
Attend the funeral - yes (but time off work may prevent this...)
Ride out to site/whatever - yes.
Send a donation - yes, I can see them putting it to good use if they are at all like Sam.

I feel the need to do something.

Thanks for the offer dude. I prob will head over in my car. I just kinda meant I wouldnt be in a "group ride" over there.

If any other bikeless bikers need a lift, I'm sure there'll be a spare seat or 2 in my car.....if you can handle being seen in a civic

I'm guessing someone thats coming over knows the exact location....?

I understand your feelings Jim but I think as long as we are respectful and don't make a show of it, it could be a really positive thing.
