Bummer about the bike, hop you get lucky and find it.

    Some basics on bike security.
1, when not riding keep your bike out of the view of the public.
2, Keep bike locked up with a chain and or wire rope and good quality lock when not riding, this includes when bike is on trailers or utes or vans, and also in the shead, lock it to some thing very solid. also use a hardend chain, if using chain, worth the extra cost.
3, insurance, if some one realy wants to pinch your bike, then not even fort knox will secure it, its a case of what is your bike worth to you?.
4, Get your bike micro dotted with a serial number, that is regerstered on a data base, may not stop the bike being stolen, but may make a theif think twice, if stealing to order, or for parts.
I have A Master Lock python I carry on my bike it is a plastic coated steel wire rope type lock, about 5 meters long that I wind through my bike and around some thing solid, I normaly pass it through the frame and through one wheel, though both is good if possible, the Idea is to make my bike look to difficult to steal, so the bike theif will look else where.

I want to insure my bike but I'm having trouble finding someone who will insure an under 25 learner.
