Just a thought....

Stick with the bike... and ride up the NSW coast... there is a lot more to see and do.. also gas and communication arent going to be a problem..

When you get to QLD just keep going...
The sunshine coast is great to visit
Heaps of bikini clad chickies...
go up to Frazer Island and have a look..
You will love it down the Gold Coast.... lots to do...
Can still get up to Townsville or cairns if you wish to keep going.
Townsville is about 1500 ks from here.

The drive to the Alice may be a bit boring....

Its just a big red rock sticking out of the ground.....

Found I needed to re-calibrate map reading part of brain for ockerland. Looked at map and thought let's take drive up there today - uh oops, thats 3,500 km. You fly over the place and it stays in the window for hours and hours. Australia is BIG.

I go with doin the ride on the bike (we wouldn't hold ya to doing the map you showed) as far as two weeks on a GN will take ya will be epic on its own no matter where ya rode to ! but good on ya !!! JFDI

and not a bad one, the thing with doing the loop is that there is no room for error due to the fact the rental will be way outside its zone

I should be cool, I cant belive the car with unlimited KMS is cheaper than a GN by a fair bit.
I can sleep in the car
Store more stuff
Have a greater fuel range.

I will bust out the cameras for the car bits
