You'll pull some fine Townsville man arse in that set of wheels.
Oh, and if the rental company get a whiff of you driving off the beaten track, (which they will, cause sure as shit it will hit roo/get forced into sand tracks by road trains, etc) your in for a good sized repair bill.
The Ginny would be better, but you will run out of gas between Qld-NT border, and the local Abbos will rape you with a Boomarang n Killing spear.
    Win Win For you.

    Really?
Suggesting a new to Aussie rider, rides between dusk and early morning is quite silly. Hell, even in a little rental car it is very unwise.
My Wreckair truck got intimate with a droughtmaster bullock 150kms nth of Sandfire, coming back from a minesite delivery at night. Took the bullbar/front panels/ etc out, and disabled it due to a smashed radiator.
And you suggest riding a bike while camels/bulls/roo's, even lil ol goanna's use the road as a heat source at night.
    Great advice buddy.

Yes it is good advice, your wreckair truck only got intimate with the droughtmaster as (a) you were asleep or going to fast,or maybe your lights were not turned on, for fuck sake you fellas drive around at speed with your eyes shut, always easy for those that mouth off to fall on their faces before they know who they are talking to.!!
Never lived in a town and have travelled Aus night and day with a horse in the float from state to state, never hit a Roo or other wise I think you may of read to many books or listerned to a heap of stories from the drunks that hang aroung the barsmost of them hit shit on the road going home pissed, of course there are animals on the road for christ sake, one almost has to write a book before you towners get the meaning of a post..

Maybe I should of told carver to ride inside a bubble to stay safe from all the hidden dangers, fuck I think he knows what he is doing. And he alone shall decide when he rides, not by my advice.

So a roo bounding out of the scrub and onto your bonnet/front wheel is because the driver is speeding/asleep/pissed?????
You really havn't been bush have you. Try Yarrie station to Pardoo roadhouse via the tracks.

Dare I say it... maaate, you've got a few 'roos loose in the top paddock!

In my experience, most of the drunks hit shit off the road - such as trees - than animals on the road. Most of the animal strikes amongst my friends have been stone cold sober. Fortunately all the ones I've hit have been in a car.

My wife used to have a 50-60km commute each way, she was one of about 10 commuters. On average, once a week one of them would hit an animal - roos, wallabies, wombats, even the odd sheep. That was within 2hrs of Sydeney.

With a horse float, state-to-state you'd be trundling along fairly slowly, and sticking to major highways, and doing large chunks late at night. Low risk.

Audacious trip, Carver. Shame it's not on the GN. Not the most sensible thing to do, but where's the fun in that?
    Cheers,
    Colin

HTFU ya pussy. My girlfriend did 8000+ km in 4 weeks through the outback on her 250 earlier this year & had a ball, surely you're at least as tough as that?

X2 on the don't travel at night thing. Roos are way more stupid than sheep.

    Cheers
    Clint
