(World's first?) Hybrid bike launched in India

    http://green.autoblog.com/2009/12/25...id-motorcycle/

The World's First Production Hybrid Motorcycle (really more like a noped – a moped sans pedals, if you ask us) is about to go on sale in India, and it will return about 280 miles per gallon with a top speed of 40 miles per hour. If that top speed seems a bit on the slow side, well, that's what you get for the low, low price of $855.
but god damn, does it have to look so ugly

Any speed above 80km/h in India is suicidal anyway.
They will sell more of those in the first year of production, than Honda sells in the USA.
Very capable/sensible moped for the environment that it is released into.
(could use a bigger front brake though, those sacred cows appear from no where).
