Fitting an SV650S K6 Belly Pan

    hi all,

i'm trying to fit a bellypan to my SV650S K6. i've got the bellypan which is apparently the one from the SV1000. it looks like it fits although i may need to mod it a bit as i have a scorpion exhaust which sits slightly differently than the standard. but the brackets that suzuki supplied to me via my local shop don't fit at all. the front bracket is meant to fit to the mounting points of the oil cooler, but the bracket mounts are too wide by about 20mm.

all rather frustrating and i really can't find any help from my usual online mechanic mr google.

anyone done this ? if you're in auckland can i take a look please or even better see some pics ?

otherwise, blimey i'm loving my new bike.. it's an absolute gem !

    cheers,

    jm

thanks rocket man, that is quite useful. although it turns out that the brackets you've used (the ones my bike shop sold me for some reason) are only for the SV1000. but, they can be customised to work really well with an SV650.

after failing to find much help anywhere on the interweb on fitting a belly pan to my SV650 K6, with a friend's help i sorted it out, photographing the process as we went along.

    hope this helps:

Also I'm pretty sure that Scorpion don't make full exhausts for bikes, just the slip / bolt on
