To be honest I didn't, but it was dark mind you. I am normally a very spacially aware (person) driver. I guess I was concentrating more on driving as it was rather heavy traffic & I was trying to be a good tour guide & pointing out all the points of interest. I've lived in Ponsonby & sold many a property there so know it quite well just wasn't looking out for signs to tell me what speed I should be doing when I couldn't get above 30 or 40 anyway.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Pedestrians need to learn to cross the fucking road properly.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My signature is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless.

I agree that at night in heavy traffic they may not be visible....I actually counted 6 circles along the road just for you this am....

That I have to agree with, having lived in Auckland for 10years I can honestly say Auckland ped's have a fucking death wish, the amount of times ive had to either slow or stop due to one just walking out in front of me is astounding. I was telling the misses this while we were driving around, not more than 30mins later some clown just walks out in front of us

I agree....in this Country they never seem to address the real problem and instead reduce the speed limit for cars so whilst pedestrians will still be allowed to behave the same, the hope is that lower speeds means some pedestrians may get lucky...if a pedestrian walks into a car do they get prosecuted...

Agree that motorist should be on the look out, however, humans can out sprint any car over the first few metres....humans have amazingly quick reactions so in the blink of an eye a standing pedestrian can just appear without warning....

Use to do Deliverys in the city. And you come round a corner and find some idiot standing in the middle of your lane texting someone, only looking at his phone. So now the speed limit drops to suit the idiots!Think it still got a ways to come down yet.

The Auckland City Council never did understand what it was that Darwin was going on about.

As much as it astounds me.....no. On more occasions than I care to remember I have laid to witness Auckland ped's blindly walk out into traffic only to glance arrogantly at the driver as if to say "I know you will stop so i'll just keep walking". On some occasions I have been soooo tempted to give them a nudge but it just isn't worth the hassle with troglodytes such as these.

Windscreen washer nozzle re-adjusted and properly aimed is a good way to let them know they are being ignorant as you pass them by....

I kinda meant the same....if you sound your horn they get all ansty...on the bike I sometimes just open and shut the throttle allowing my free flowing Arrows to give them a message and they skip a bit but still wave as if they have done nothing wrong...in the van I just run them down...
