Looks like you had a good time Craig - certainly the scenery over your way is great - but hey isn't it all good here in Aotearoa - myself and family spent our Christmas at Mahanga on the East Coast of the N.Island - no motorcycling involved this time though - sorry not to be seeing you on the DB - regards to you and Whanau - S

Thanks Stephen. I've updated it with the Molesworth rainbow trip.

Hopefully be doing a bit more riding this holidays. Have arranged to stay with Woody2 in welly for the CCA. Will be good to catch up.

    Great RR!
    Complete with Fraulein
    Many thanks for sharing!

Sorry, can't post on the advrider yet, co's odometer is at -1.
I'm such a noob with the forums.

Q: What do you guys carry in the event of a puncture?
I've got faint memories of sharp mountain rocks to Lake Tennyson on the XR and carry one of those cans of goo..., but is it enough?

We both had a front & rear tube each, levers & I had a pump, Darryl a gas cannister. Some guys have the goo but I like the idea of a spare tube & punture repair kit.

Funnily enough we had enough crap stowed away for a weeklong trip.

Search in the tyre sticky, and/or the setup thread, or even this sub-forum. Has been discussed heavily in the past.
    Cheers,

Nice RR Padmei, Liz was impressed. The rain covers on the saddle bags took a hammering on the Blenheim back roads Look forward to checking out the tracks we couldn't do this time.

Bugger Woody, you bought THE bike I had lined up for a 30 Dec purchase, looks like you're putting it to good use already, good on ya.
Another one will come up on my radar soon, good things come to those who wait I did kinda like those Red Bull decals tho!

Crikey, glad I kept it on the low down ( was just going to turn up with it to have Padmei on). Was looking at a KTM 640 sxc locally but then decided to go the whole hog and go for the 690 after reading more reviews as well as Chris's opinion etc! Have ordered a screen, just need to do something about a seat I think! I;m really happy with it just gotta learn to
Will PM you re: a guy whose 690e will be coming up for sale, he is waiting for his 990 to arrive.
