    I fuckin' did it!

    Oh yes.

    Witnesses and everything.

I actually handed over money, of my own free (grudging) will, in return for pure cinematic gold.

If Slofox can post every minor event in his life, then so can I.

Plus this truly IS a momentuous event.

Will rip it to the PC soon as How I Met Your Mother finishes!

Perhaps not momentous, but certainly unprecedented.

What's the visual quality like. Does the noticeable difference between a dvd and a 700mb dvdrip bother you?

Well after I've been watching so many 720p rips I don't know if DVD quality cuts it anymore.

Pirated vids...what pirated vids....I buy them legitimately over the counter at the largest electronics shop in town ,,,(size of Chch Wharehouse)

6 latest release DVD's for the price of 5....that a total of 1000 som or NZD36...$6 each. Included in the latest 6 was (The B Grade) Avatar...

Thats still little compensation for Russian, Yank and some brit programming we get.

The best solution for me was to sign up at Civic Videos. $1 a day weekly movies (Mon-Thur). Cheap as a dollar and legal.

probably cheaper than downloading considering how much a decent data cap costs in this country....
