I am wondering what age to throw my offspring onto the back of a motorcycle on their own. Currently they are aged 4 & 5 years old. What would you recommend?

I'm not really one to recommend on these matters so can only speak from our experience.

Sully one has just turned 6. He has low vision so I wasn't that keen to see him on one tooo soon.

What is not obvious from those pics is the trainer wheel system..see pic below. Dad engineered this up from looking them up online and we found pictures and footage of kids around the age of 3 blatting around like mad things on their wee machines. Makes it more like a quad and gives them the opp to master go, stop and turn without worrying about falling over....quite good for teaching them to lean into the inside of corners too

Good luck - it is cool to watch your kid having a ball on a bike just like you know you do

You can purchase them for $160USD or if you have a clever fabrictation/engineering type with access to the right tools and a few old trolley wheels lying around...nada

Baby Baby bikie actually finally decided that two wheels might be ok after all. he's never really taken to it prefering his quad or lately the kart. He would ride but only with a fair bit of encouragement But a bit spurred on by sully j hes now out n about.
I know he should be wearing full gear but he suprised the heck outa me by wanting to test ride the bike I'd just rerung. I sure wasn't gonna loose the moment. Soo fanks sully Jnr anothe 2 wheeled biker
