Has anyone ever come off because they were waving at another biker?

It must have happened at least once. It would be funny to hear the story - if anyone could own up to it happening.

Oh, and welcome to KB skinny.

I've come off cos I was checking out another biker (chick of course), does that count? kind of the same And no way was I gonna wave on my trip home the other day, was battling with must been over 60kmhr gusting head/side winds so the head nod had to do

Hey Skinny - do a search - I believe there is a remote possibility that waving has been discussed previously. May save some smart assed replies.

Welcome to KB - look around and I hope that you find some useful information.

Thanks for the info. I can handle a few ass replies but no point poking sleeping dogs with a stick. will search before posting.

    Welcome to the forum, skinny

And blehh about the search thing. If you're not just looking for info, sometimes you just wanna have your own interaction rather than just read someone else's conversation from last year/month/week/yesterday

I tend to nod, or wave if I have plenty of time to think about it, or nothing if I'm too busy concentrating on riding... AND I've never had an off while doing so, but I've had a couple of really crap corners cause I was too busy looking at the bike coming towards me! (Less so these days, but don't spend so much time thinking about whether or not to wave that you forget to pay attention to your own ride!!)

Wave ? Whats wrong doing a full High 5 and loosing your hand at 120k ( 240 if the other rider is doing 120 the other way )
Please Mr ACC, my 1300cc bike was passed by a 400cc bike on a track day, can I have my fees reduced ?

yes, waving whenever possible, nodding if cant wave.

Don't be surprised if no one waves or nods on the motorway as, greater concentration on riding is required in traffic, hence both hands on handlebars and eyes on road.

    Welcome to KB.

    p.s. Don't forget to wave

Nah mate, what you do is jump off the bike and perform a flying high 5 in midair, the impact of the 2 hands causing each biker to do a 180 degree spin around and land onto the other bike and keep riding.

    Commandments of KB.

Thou shalt not start a waving thread.
Thou shalt not start a "what 250 should I buy?" thread
Thou shalt not start a "look at my car" thread
Thou shalt not impugn the Moderators for they are the Gods of the KB Universe
Thou shalt not start a "I'm taking my toys and leaving KB so everyone had better tell me how much they love me" thread

Apart from that you can post porn and ask idiots about how to fix your bike wot you broke coz you is an idiot too : Welcome to KB
