Maramarua Forest Trail Ride 3rd Jan 2010

I usually hang around in the Motard section (and it shows by my mad dirt skilz) but I chucked on the knobbies and went out to Maramarua Forest today. I did it tough at times, but it's better than laying it down on the asphalt track, I promise. But what a great day and what a great facility! I'll be there again, for sure.

Some video of my day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xrCjO9ogc4

Yes, yes, everyone laugh at the noob!

    Cheers

Haha solid effort mate, good little video. With those rutted sections you gotta pick you're line well and keep straight!

I did the ride today too.
First time at Maramarua. I liked the terrain.
If it was wet it would be much harder.
Did the Everest Climb. Not hard but if it was wet you'd be fuxored.
    Good Times.
$40 was maybe a bit steep but you gotta pay to play.

My son and I were there on 2nd, yep great day, Everest beat us both! Ruts, ruts and more ruts... next time tho. And dusty as hell when the quads are around. Great trails with a bit of everything. Cool video SeppoDave, glad it wasn't only me that tasted the dirt! Did anyone else get caught out by that big bog on the tight left hairpin after the long fast gravel road?

I was there on Saturday and came a bit of a gutser as well. And yes the ground was hard! I can still feel it.
