    Rep points for the newbie!

Riding down the NW bike lane between cars (as one does) first this morning... traffic blocked up, clrawling - the usual when I came across an "L" plate on a small japper cruiser (maybe GN125 or 250?).

They were a bit uncertain on their wheels and wobbling a tad, holding me up but that's fine - they're going at their limit and I ain't going to force the issue. I was wondering how to get around... maybe use the other bike lane between car lanes 1 and 2... when the wee bike saw me, slowed, indicated left and merged long enough to let me pass then went back to it.

If you are reading this Learner biker (wearing a white full face with panda bear ears) - bloody well done. Awesome to see someone doing the decent thing on the roads anyway, and a learner on a bike doing it.

Made me proud and it shows up the attitude of a lot of speedsters...!

    Awesome - bloody awesome!

I do that all the time. Even before I got my 636 on my CBR250. I am sticking to 20 between cars. If a faster bike comes up behind, that's his/her death wish, not mine - I'll stick to my speed until a gap between cars opens up, then I'll be more than happy to move over and let them by..

I must admit that is something I do very often, I have bikes coming up behind me and I move over for them. Feel like its the right thing to do.

Might have been a chick then. And depends on the glue, superglue wouldn't have done anything I don't think.

Your friend will want to get some glue on them sonner or later, those suction cups wont hold very long at speed.

Stickie on hemlet things are all the rage in the UK. From Mohicans, to rabbits ears, pony tails etc etc. Most use a special hemlet safe glue.

I think her husband will be quite happy if they just happen to blow off and are never seen again.

I'd say that many of us on KB are as courteous BJ. We're not all in that much of a rush are we?

Wouldn't surprise me if they are a KB'r.

Most noobs that I've come across on the road, who are already lanesplitting themselves, keep on dawdling along without using their mirrors (wasn't this point debated recently?) and don't see me 'waiting' for them to move.

So good on you for taking the initiative L-plate rider whoever you are??? :raghead:
