An Italian importer ripped the fairings off a TT600 and hotted it up a bit and gave it a speed triple look. Triumph liked the results so much they adopted the design as a production model.
It's a big seller in Europe where there are significant cost advantages in registering and insuring a 600 over the 955i's.

wow, thats the first time i seen one of them and i like it. Good effort for stiking to a GN for almost a year, i bet it makes riding the speed four that much more enjoyable

I like things to perfect, so I didn't want to rush into a bigger bike until I had found what I wanted.
Also I do like the look of the GN and did enjoy riding it until I took it away up north for one of the long weekends and it just was not as much fun as I remembered.
So I went looking for the Bandit 600 which are a good price and discovered the speed 4 and was hooked. Both inline 4's, but the Bandit is simple carburettor, heavy etc where as the speed four is anything but simple, fuel injection air inducted & every review on the net was incredibly positive. Compared to other 600 it always came out the most comfortable, best handling and the comment, ‘the most fun to ride’.
Destroyed my budget and finances for the next few of months but its worth it so far.

Also compared to TT, yes the a lot is the same frame, brakes etc, but the engine has been modified to reduce horse power and increase torque, which has had a lot of positive reviews on the net as well.

I have had 5 complete strangers come up to me to have a look at the bike in the last 2 weeks. Neven had that kind attention before, no other bike really looks like it

So I was. Always like doing a bit of "bus dodging" during the week. I wondered why I couldn't remember going home that way on the VTR

I'm glad you liked the Bike, it made my day that I had only the bike for 1 1/2 days and a stranger on a pedal bike showed apprication for my new passion while I waiting at the lights of all places.
For the same price as a SV650, the speed 4 is a good buy, though I don't know how long this will last.
