Sure was a good bike James - thats story still cracks me up.

It's a shame we were in 'rival gangs' at college though, otherwise I might have let you sit on it.

Being a sprotsbike pilot: I would never own a crossplane R1, must be the most dissapointing, pointless market exercise ever imagined. What was Yamaha thinking?

Any sub 250 that has ever been owned and ridden by a spotty oik of a yoof.

Would be nothing but a money pit of trouble.

VF 750 Sabre / Custom , XS Yamaha any size , Moto Guzzi (except the 1000cc race bike Simon Turner raced in the 80s) , Any Harley Davidson ( every crafish pot should have one) ,
And anything i have raced and found to be totally pox like an MVX250 (sorry Jimmy ),
Anything you have to change gears with your hand , thats just too old even for me.
A bike Pete the crasher thinks is good

PS; Honda riders arnt gay , they just let other marques believe its true.

List of bikes I will NEVER EVER OWN:

    - Goldwing
    - Fully equipped Electraglide!
    - Anything w/o a petrol burning motor
    - Korean/Chinese

    Apart from that...

    Things I WANT to own:
    - 750 widowmaker with drum brakes
    - Hesketh
    - Munch Mammuth
    - Black Shadow
    - Once again a 48 Panhead with extended springer and jockey shift!
    - Any 2 stroke 70's 500cc RR bike (MV would be top of the list...)
    - K1

    Yep...

May the bridges I burn light the way.

i thought id never own a harley, but ive seen some very ratty piles of hd junk, that i thought id be happy owning ,
basically i wouldnt own anything that really needed to be cleaned after every ride, or was offensively shiny
i also thought id never buy a pan euro or a gold wing, but i think id like the challange of ripping all the plastic off one and making it a naked bike,
i think the only bike i won't own again is a small capicity v twin 4 stroke, they always seem to need s much work, and don't give anything back power wise

Not sure re late model ones. But the NV/VT ones we have had have just kept on running. Going down to the BIKEOI my son was on a NV400 (done 90K) and had a pillion. He kept up with all of us on 1000 - 2300cc bikes! Perhaps just how you treat the girls?

MVX 50? Google can't find that one for me at the moment..... Was it an MTX50??
I guess it has the same AC08E motor as my NS-1 has.... Here.
Ypu, amazing how peppy those little things are!

    Bikes I wouldn't own.....
Well, anything that doesn't suit my style of riding... So Cruisers. They have their place, i agree... just not my place.

Almost anything else goes... Oh, fast motocrossers scare me too.. But I guess I should really learn to ride them one day
