Bikes you absolutely would NOT own. Ever never

So I've been thinking. Pondering even.

I realised that there are very few motorbikes that I absolutely categorically would not or would never own. I am a bike slut I guess. All motorcycles are cool. Some are cooler than others. Ive had sprotsbikes, ridden a cruiser, own a retro-standard, and a track bike. Have another sports bike in bits which I was going to start work on this holiday but it hasnt happened yet, have owned "classic" bikes, owned some bikes that are classic-ish now but when I owned them they were just old pieces of crap that were all I could afford. One day I will buy that Harley, and that Guzzi, and maybe a sprots tourer, and perhaps another full on sports bike.

So my point i guess is this: I dont understand people who go "All cruisers are shit" "All Hondas make you homosexual" "All sportsbike riders have a death wish" "all jap cruiser riders wish they were riding harleys but havent got the balls" "All Harley riders just stand around dressed up like extras in Sons of Anarchy and dont actually ride, and in fact would be more comfortable in a leather bar" "Harleys are expensive and dont go round corners" "Ducatis are the coolest because we all think we are as good as Rossi and Casey combined"

Stereotypes are bullshit. All bikes are cool.

    there, I said it.

Whilst all bikes may well be cool, there are, nevertheless, some that I would not own - viz any bike, regardless of make or style, that is too heavy for me to pick up when I inevitably drop/fall off it...can't be having with taking a crane everywhere to pick it up with...

    Well said that man.

I've owned my Honda for a bit over two years now and I've yet to be propositioned by another guy. Mind you I'm pretty sure we don't have homosexuals in the South Island - I understand it is a North Island thing ......

I have no intention of ever owning a Chinese bike.
As much as I might admire the workmanship of a customised bike (I'm talking about choppers and the like), I have no particular desire to own one.
I really don't care how many geegaws and whizzbang features they have, nor how well they go: I'd never buy a Goldwing - in my opinion, it's not much more than a two-wheeled car.
There's no way I'd ever buy a maxi-scroter, even if it was the most fantabulous thing in the world to ride. An ornery scroter? Perhaps - just for fuel savings and giggles.

Most other two-wheeled contrivances are fair game, but having said that, I have a feeling I may well be on my very last bike ever.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I once laughed a dudes bike at High School, an X7, just after he bought it. Said to a mate "I will never own a heap of shit like that" (had an MVX at the time, go figure). 7 years later, I owned the very same X7 and loved every second of it, what a fucken cool bike.

But an MVX250. No fucken way would I ever own one of those.

I'm just off home to work on my MVX now.........

As with many things, it depends... Usually on what it will cost. Some I would only own if I got them free...

    Silly boy!

I want one with the powered sidecar wheel and a nice screen for the passenger. Ideal school run vehicle.

That's why I didn't mention them - the Jap bikes were once as crappy, but soon(ish) Korea will be as good as Japan, quality-wise. Their electronics are pretty much already there, and their cars are not far off.
As for crappiness, the chinese bikes arguably outstrip them for that.
Be that as it may, I still don't reckon I'll ever own one.
