There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
Yeah trailering my bike to the shop was heaps more fun.
Short note from my GPS Track log, it shows I did about 105km from the carpark spending 6 hours 14 minutes in there.

Nice pics guys! Our camera got a bath in Herring/Seymour and is now kaput, so no piccies for us. We had an awesome day, and got as far as Goose Flat. Mrs B. even got in a swim in the Clarence at the Seymour Hut - it was a mite too chilly for me, though I did ford it on foot at one point. Thanks to all the kindly folk who texted to ask if we made it out, I guess we were the last out at around 4:15 (left Goose Flat at 2:10 - not bad for a novice rider on a big fat Transalp, I reckon). Thanks to R for letting us know about the open weekends! And a huge thanks to HoT for lending us the DR - it rocked.
Cheers

Nobody knows what human life is, why we come, why we go,
so why then do I know, I will see you in far off places?

Great day - thanks for the suggestion Ryan and organisation (and sweeping behind after Steve's bike got a little "dodgy") Cheers, Crim
