    Strange motorcycle injury #1

Decide to check my tyre pressures on the way home from work tonight. Pull into the service station (should have probably waited till I got home).

Bent down to put the widget thing onto the valve. Valve was a bit difficult to get to with those bulky service station inflators. Bent down further trying to get it onto the valve, trying to find the best angle to get it on.

    Ouchhhhhhhhhhhhh........ F**k!!!!

Ouch. I've burnt my leg on the midpipe when reversing the bike after taking my gear off. The bike is always put away now with gear on. Haven't had any strange injuries though

    A common newbie error.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

Yep. Felt like a right prick. Now look like one too with a blister in the middle of my forehead. Worst thing is a few people quite close by must have seen me with my head breifly stuck to the pipe, then shouting and dancing round like a girl!!

If you owned a Ducati you would not have that problem with an under seat exhaust. Would only be a problem when checking your tread depth on the rear tyre, but being a clever bastard, have decided it is safer to check tread depth from the rear of the bike while stationery.

You should see if the service station has it on camera, then post it on here so we can have another good laugh.

Never have problem like that but I know someone ( DidJit ) that got black eye from his bike as checking tyre pressure .
