    Buffstar's accident at Paparimu!

Some of you will know our mate Buffstar (Buffy). She's written some colourful posts here! She was doing her last lap at Paparimu and had a pretty bad accident. She was looked at by paramedics and airlifted to Middlemore.

She was status 1 last night as she has broken ribs, can't remember how many, could be 5, and one had pierced her lung! They thought she had broken her shoulder and her collarbone, but the bruising is bad and they can't be sure. Will give you an update!

Poor Buffy, only 13 months ago she broke her wrist and hurt her pelvis!

    Thinking of you my friend.

Oh hell, so that was buffstar? Was it that last little jump on the right? (Gave myself a fright on that the first time round, nearly ran out of room to take the corner after it). You could see the chopper was having some trouble finding location. Hopefully she's plugged into plenty of morphine and feeling a bit better. Get well soon Buff, keep us updated Midge.

she was a trooper on teh hill in a situation that was far from ideal, big thanks to all those that stopped and helped or pushed there bikes past to make things easier, it was good to have the Hunua Voluntary fire dept there helping out which made things easier,

    get well soon Buffy,

    Hi all!
I am Buffys partner. She's had a rough 24 hours thats for real. Findings thus far is 3 broken ribs (pretty bloody bad breaks), broken collarbone, punctured lung, severe bruising internally of her chest and shoulder.
The docs and nurses are looking after her really well and got her does up on lots of pain relief & currently have her in the ICU at Middlemore hospital. Currently trying to get her breathing and pain under control with some internal bleeding.
As for the Marshalls and the Volunteer fire crew at the ride yesterday what a bunch of fan bloody tastic people. especially Bob & Ron from the Hunua Fire Service and Scott from MR Motorcycles F@#ken well done guys the damage would have been a lot worse without your speed and knowledge of how to help.
Thanks to all those of you that have called me with your best wishes and I am sure Buffy will appreciate your thoughts also. I will try and keep everyone up to date with her progress.

    TAKE CARE FOR NOW
