Well, I am a bit "prudish", but have always found the built-in site protections work really well. I can't recall any nasties appearing in the middle of a therad as I read it. I leave avatars on because they are like the user's "face" to me, and I like to see what people choose as their "face"

I find it quite easy not to look at them (ones I may find off-putting) when I am reading posts; if you don't like it don't stare at it- it won't improve in your eyes!

I have no problem with a persons choice for Avatar, but open plan office environments make for akward moments.
Hence this thread with it's title 'NSFW' and the fix to hide R18 rated Avatars that has been made.

Understand where people are coming from, each to their own and all that but to me it's part and parcel of this site. There's a boat load of individuals here, all expressing their own persona (even if it just their on-line one), fantastic.

Just to clarify: I don't view kb anywhere but from home, never at work.

I just wanted to say that I think the options are easily there for people to avoid looking at images they find offensive. I'm pleased that I never have to worry there will be something unexpected in the thread I am reading. Either kb discipline is pretty good and posters keep the porn stuff separate, or the mods do a fantastic job of clearing up inappropriate stuff.

Anyway, I'm glad kb is the way it is, and I enjoy the information, yarns, bun fights and quick-wittedness I find here most days.
