    XR's attack Marakopa part 1

awoke to the 5:30 alarm on with some gear and off to the rendezvous point at the local marae, upon arriving i was greated by Haeremai your 5mins late cook your own fookin eggs and toast, so i did.... by 6:20 we were amoured up and ready to boogie so of to the local gassa for some go juice, we decided to make a be line for the southern side off pirongia by seal as we had a lot of ground south of there we hadnt seen for a while and wanted to cover as much of it as we could by (fuck i need to go feed the kids) lunchtime. So of we went, (bloody cold that time of day in summer rags) Sensei pointed out an old MX practice track south of Pirongia, we were tempted to stop and play but decided to save it for another day when more first aid gear was onboard , Sensei has some ideas and plans to incorperate said track into future adv rides . we vear right on first Kawhia turn off take another right and head to the pirongia west X roads, we stop to stretch, load bayonets, lock and load.

first bit of metal for 3 weeks for me and a couple of months for my mate, oh yeah 10 metres of seal to go , gloriuos metal here we come ah oh shit whats that sound rat ta tat tat, oh FUCK is that the decomp fucken dancing on the camshaft making the almighty XR cut in and out while playing a very distinct metalic skitzofrenic dance beat. why yes it is so after a few swear words and a soothing shoulder rub from my mate we slowly made our way back, and it was a shit load of fun coasting down the windies racing with engines off that was the highlight of the day, once momentem was gone we fired up and headed to pirongia for a cappacino stop on the slow ride home, anyone passing through try the cafe at the southern end/western side of road very very good.
We arrived back at the marae around 8:30 9ish for coffee and clymer study and some planning took place.... Motor coming out next week, stripped down when time is willing and avaluations made parts ordered and hopefully back in action by end of Feb early march
then i'l write up the: XR's attack Marakopa part 2 with more than just one photo and a whole days riding

said shoulder rub was not real but it would have been nice
