Everyone here knows the risks involved with these things and if it freaks you out then for your own sake buy a car. Your thinking about the safety others? Hell, i'm not thinking about yours and that's the truth of it!

    mmmm!

This ATGATT time thing. All the gear all the time! hahaha oh man when I'm commuting the 15 minute ride to work in the morning i'll wear whatever the hell is going to make me feel comfortable for the other 8.5 hours of the day. Full leathers etc. all the time? Get the fuck out. it's so unrealistic and inconvenient it's ridiculous. The day motorcycling becomes more of a hassle than an experience i'll give it up no problem. When you buy a motorbike and decide that that's that well you either accept the fact that you don't have a tonne of steel around you or you don't there's no more to it.

But it's best to cover your ass and treat other road users like they don't know what they're doing

No one knows what the hell they're doing that's why so many accidents occur. The point is that we do it anyway despite the potential consequences because it's fun. It's something to look forward to before you fall asleep at night or when you've had enough of working. There's so many rules with this stuff already the last thing biking needs is your flakey moral convictions.

To post this and risk the retribution of people who have been hurt or know others who have been hurt or killed while biking? God bless the internet eh!
I don't hink you have been riding long enough, nor have the experience others have had, to make some of your comments

Just hope what he is wearing wil be enough to make sure he can ride/walk properly again afterwards and that no one else gets hurt in the process.

It's the attitude that I find difficult with this poster. Sweetheart I fully support your right to damage yourself, but FFS there are other road users who will suffer if you come off and get damaged beyond repair. I know, a few years after a boyfriend I had was killed in a collision I chanced to met up with a girl who had been a child passengar in the car that hit him. She was still shaking about it.
