    Motomart thank you.!!!!!!!

Folks on thursday this week I found myself in desperate need of a bike for Flyin's funeral to rent/borrow.
A phone call to Pat the owner of Motomart in Lower Hutt had him offering me "something-dunno what but it'll be a bike"
I fronted up at Motomart Friday morning to find a VERY apologetic Salesman waiting for me. The bike he had organised for me (2005 1000 yamaha Phaser) was going to be demo'd so I couldnt take it.
Would I mind taking this instead. Instead being a immaculate 2002 Honda VFR800.
Not only did they supply me with a bike They REFUSED to take any payment from me for the use of it.
Now keep in mind folks these guys had no idea who I was and I live at the other end of the country from them.
Top effort guys I really apreciate it.

Proves when it gets to the wire, we are members of a community that looks out of each other, eh?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Actually I'm not so sure. Bike shops have been forced to become cynical and hardnosed. To find someone prepared to put their neck on the line for a stranger is something special.
Ohh and for the record trashy tried his best for me but Wmc diddnt have anything I could borrow.

SC -rotflmao --um well I was actually just gonna let that one slide-
or should that be crash or slow lower to the ground followed by lots of swearing.
I know I diddnt help the situation by totally pissing myself with laughter but well but it was really really funny --the slow topple of doom that ya know is gonna end up with you sitting on ya ass on the ground.
Should the person concerned not tell their version of the story I will elaborate

I heard it was more comical than that
Just pulled up, stopped and slowly leaned over (and over, and over, and over )

While that drive annoys the crap out of me, props to Motomart. Busiest workshop in the Nth Island

I think best we let the person concerned tell the story
Aparently I was too close (1.5m away) so they couldn't turn properly

but but but--i was miles from him.

Actually --even funnier was me with my gear bag in front of me and to poor owner on the back trying to ride a lil GSX250 around the streets of wellytown.
Big thanks to her too for the lift into town.

    I hate you all

Damn it - Stonechucker is right. I need longer legs... Put my foot down and all there was was air.

Damn it - you'd think at five foot ten I wouldn't have that problem.

Only casualty - one mirror, which is duct taped back on, and a couple of scratches on my garbage pail of a zorst.

Bet I'm not the first to do that at Motor Mart...

BTW RF900R's are really really heavy when they are six inches from the ground...

    Nope.
    but lets all be realistic.
There are curbs everywhere, so therefore can happen anytime.
Its when people try to park their bikes side on, on our step door way and then blame the entryway.. Thats just silly. (riffer didnt do this)
You can just see that its going to turn pear shaped.

Dont worry mate, ill charge you for the tape and my labour next time
