Overnight ride to Kawhia Feb 20/21

Ride is on again
I tried to come up with a new date but every one didn't pan out so will just have to miss Paeroa.

Time to put the new bach to use

Loose plan is to travel down from Alk sat morn' thru either Port Waikato/coast or the inland route with a lunch stop in Raglan then round the coast to Kawhia.

Depending on numbers/vote, maybe a bbq at bach or pub meal?

Sunday will be a route south to Moeatoa then inland via Mairoa/Te Koraha/Te Rauamoa then head home or maybe back via Nikau Caves Cafe depending on time.

The bach has the all the necessities. There is now plenty of beds/mattresses. The double bed will be mine unless a couple come along and there are another 3 bunk beds plus 4 comfy mattresses and couple of smaller mattresses to.

I can have cold beer/food waiting if you wish to let me know ahead of time but that can be sorted when we have an idea of whos in.

Anyone who wishes to meet at Kawhia from other parts are most welcome.

Pace will be whatever you choose, big bike friendly and a beach run if your game and tide is out!

Details will be added as time rolls on.

If you want a bed/mattress and are going to come along rain,hail or dust PM me to confirm.

Of course you can ride all that way in a day. Only 486kms. We rode Masterton to Auckland in a torrential downpour in 1 day and still included adv routes.......

Just realized that 21st is Paeroa Bike races so i will be in for the saturday only ride.

This ride is on again for the same date 20/21 Feb, I did want to go to Paeroa this year but no other dates quite worked to fit in with my work roster and other rides etc

The bach has been much improved and a few more beds, most are in the open area tho so bring ear plugs, I am

There are a couple motels if you don't like sharing
