And, as I'm not an XR650 rider, I didn't fall off. Not once

Some more scouting of tracks in Hira. Includes an all new track (@6:30 on the vid) with not much gorse, but a lot of blackberry at the start

Good vid, I like the nipple mounted camera view

4ish more weeks and the fishing season ends, then, the adventure riding season begins Looking forward to heading up your way for a few rides and teeing up with the NADS lads at some stage, preferably on a gorse free route

In 4ish weeks the gorse will be waterlogged and harmless

You want to bring your long legs for that one.
There's a bit of riding the steep, wet, slippery hump between the deep wheel ruts involved

    But only at the start.
Then it gets steep, but no ruts...

    The chest harness clicking...

2 years ago, testing the Intiminators and using a borrowed chest harness...

Must be a buckle on the Ogio Stealth Vest hitting it or something...

I thought you did well getting up that start hill (we have to name it - what about Teeter tooter as I seem to remember the bike stuck wanting to go backwards on a ledge)
Some of those looked horrendously steep.
I'm glad i saw that as I was thinking about going out there for a ride - i'll put the blanket back on it now till I forget what it's like.

BTW your right fork is 3 clicks soft.
In life as in dance Grace glides on blistered feet

Yeah, I throttled off at just the right point and ended up having to give it a little more as it wanted to go back down again

Yesterday, I tried a few climbs that didn't pan out, but one in particular did...
From the Teal Lookout over the dam up to the east...
Made it to the top First time evar

Soooo close to looping it out several times

Most of the climbs are more suited to knobblies rather than the trials tyre at the moment as they're a bit loose.
The trials tyre hits the soft patches and loses momentum quite quickly. Not that I'm carrying that much to start with...

There's been a dozer down from Mt Everest to the Gun Club Valley and it's much easier.
Tried going up and got 1/5th of the way

From a distance the climbs all look quite smooth and do-able

Nothing wrong with my right fork that some fork oil wouldn't fix...
