If we let them f*ck with ACC and keep increasing the levies, they will make sure the levies will be higher than for a normal insurance, to force the people in requesting them to can ACC. That's my point: ACC is a better option, but if we let the f*uck with it they will make it more expensive for us, just so they can justify killing it.

You could be right there Brent. I was reading the threads while eating toast and having coffee (late start) and got a bit wound up. Not difficult. I'm just a tad passionate about this subject.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    True!

There has been some good stuff written on this thread and if you pick through it without wearing biased shades you can really get to the nub of the situation we find ourselves in.

Absolute Woodhouse ACC or nothing is the best, quickest and easiest achievable solution to the current (orchestrated) dilemma of ACC and the levy hikes!

In my honest opinion the return to the Woodhouse model of ACC is currently the most suitable for New Zealand.

While marching side by side with the Unions is not my preference, the destination is the same, once that objective has been reached, I will go my own way and they can go theirs!

If we simply stand our ground on our differences and do nothing the opposition (whatever MMP government combination is in power) will trample over all of us forever.

I support the work that StoneY is doing and will attend any rally that I am able to and I will worry about the consequences of agendas once the ACC battle has been won!

Good luck StoneY at least, in spirit I am with you, at best, I will be there on the day. Thank you.

As we all are my man.

    OK MARSHALLS

on the day anyone willing, able and capable, be there at parliament between 9-30 and 10 am to be vested up, and you WILL be given duties

BIKERS are simply monitoring the Parking at Molesworth, and protecting Cenotaph Paving (untill there is no room left sssshhhhhh)

We also watch the gates, NO vehicles past the gates at all, only foot traffic

Its THAT simple, in fact so simple I cant even see a need for Radio's this time....a decent briefing and a few key people from last round who know the score should suffice

I have some big fellah's allready in the Marshal squads, they were last time too so know the score and process

Foxzee has volunteered (or I volunteered her I think LOL) to be Police Liaison on the day
We have an official photographer (Ratti)
We have a Journo lined up if Jims recovered enough...let hope

PA sorted, barriers will be managed by Parliament security, Cops will monitor whatever they monitor, Council yet to confirm parking (but sure they will....)

Cant think of anything else....done all I can....lets show up on the day and make it happen again

    SEE YA ALL THERE!

And Thanks for the support Old's mate, you rock bruv

if parking on the cenotaph is a possibility, would there be a way to restrict it to modern bikes? i remember last year, not on the bikoi, but some other protest, someone leaked oil all over it which basically put a black mark against the whole event.

During the Ulysses rally of 31st Oct, many (including me nad the 10 who rode in with me) parked on the paving there, and some had leaks.
I saw one guy actually fixing his bike and the fix spilled some fluids, carburettor gas and some white mikly crap...wont name n shame but he was a KBer

I personally hit every spot there with a can of Brakekleen (Thanks StoneY for cleaning it up for us...sure Ulysses no prob) heheheh (stir it up lmfao)
Rain has done the rest since but yes as a result...its a 'no go zone'

BUT...as its a public 'park' and a official speakers corner under local bylaw (means you can soapbox there any given time) no one can actually STOP you being there there legally......
If we run out of room, I can see it opening up...BUT thats over 900 bikes before it needs happen...I counted last time.

If i'm wrong, i'm more than happy to listen to those reasons why...

Because it's the only thing that makes sense. A country ticks over because of its people and a welfare/health care system that looks after every member of the country is what's required to keep the country ticking over. No healthy workers, no country!

If they can prove to me that the hikes are just, then i'll happily pay! They haven't. Nowhere near it in fact! Even their own statisticians question the validity of data that the recommendations have been based on.

Because there are too many people, comfortable with THEIR lives, comfortable with THEIR standards of living, comfortable in the knowledge that THEIR government is doing the best for them... And as you obviously won't do anything about it, my blood is boiling in the knowledge that there are people who want to do something about it... those who care more about what the $$$ can do rather than what the $$$ represents. Take off those rose tinted specs man!

My message to the government is "JUST DO YOUR FUCKING JOBS AND STOP SCREWING PEOPLE OVER"... but as i'm a betting man, i'm going to bet that the government don't give a shit, because you're just a voter and over the years they have come to the conclusion that they are lords and master of this country and that is thanks to narrow minded peopel such as yourself... you don't really give a shit just as long as YOU ARE ALRIGHT!

How about, let's see if we can use some of the 1.7 billion of "profits" from this year to see if we can make the system better... Ahhhh, because then you'd HAVE TO WORK FOR A FUCKIN LIVING... Seriously man, is it you or your 8 year old that's asking these questions/making these statements? You do know that they're mulling over, or are in the process of replacing the software at ACC with an insurance software package (could cost 100 mill), something that could be written (yes i write software and i doubt very much that this is the monster it's made out to be) specifically for the task it's required to undertake for about 1/10 of the cost!!! That other 90 mill, hmmmm, how many more nurses/doctors/people will that keep for the next 10 years... Put the fucker on a diet if it's bloated... Starting with those insane salaries.

ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaa, that's a good one. How about a free chainsaw with every box of Weetbix... that way if it's not an accident at least you can cut it off for free!!!!!!! How about, looking at the current business process and seeing where it's going so wrong that all it can generate is 1.7 billion "profit" each year... Hell, could potentially reinvest some of that into improvements... sorry, I now that that's too much common sense and i'm just being silly.

So very narrow minded. ACC is BROKEN, not BROKE!!!! I can't prove it, because they won't let me in, but with profit being made every year and 11 billion in assests... PULEASE...

How many people are on the ACC board? I'll take one spot as i want to know and will do a better job!

As for being Union pawns... holy shit, if that's your only reason for not getting involved then you better not have your kids at school, them teachers are unionists ya know, oh and don't go to the hospital (it's full of unionists), public transport oooooo union members... shit, you better be real careful...

What makes you think that ACC won't work?
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!
