I'm actually looking forward to this one a lot more than the previous one. While it was great to do the biker thing, it was a limited message. There's so much more at stake now. As Ixion warned, the ACC levies on bikes were just the start. Do we want to see a time when our children can't play sport at school because the ACC levies for the schools are too high because ACC was sold to insurance companies? Or when our mother falls over, breaks her hip and she can't get an operation for two years because ACC won't pay for old people's ops because the cost/benefit ratio is not good. We'll be needing private insurance for Health, private insurance for ACC, and be paying huge tax before we know it. Read more about how ACC works at the moment here: The results of the ACC Forum @ the AKl Uni Business School - http://bit.ly/8xLSq5
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Sorry!

Call it what you like this has now simply become a left wing political rally in disguise!

Like the Triumph advertisements recommend, I will "go my own way"!

Ummm...what did you expect it to become Olds?
Its POLITICAL rally dude, on a POLITICAL ISSUE ffs!

And as its the 'right' wing thats attacking our lifestyle and our way of life, of course support will come from the left BIG time, and who cares!
Its not 'left vs right' to me its about saving ACC for our future generations, its about a forced pay cut with no consultation, its about being fucking ripped off by our elected officials who have lied through thier teeth and played on Kiwi apathy to make thier mates and fellow shareholders richer at MY expense!

ACC AINT BROKE ffs, how many times do we need to prove that? Are you even on the same planet as the one we live on?

If YOU aint gonna be hit by a higher ACC levy thats not justifiable (do retired folk pay a levy?), fine, sit on ya arse in Hamilton and do nothing, but dont come into MY protest thread taking cheap shots that are irrelevant to the issue at hand

I for one, am fighting to save an institution UNIQUE to NZ that is being torn up to make those assholes who sit on the far right benches richer than they already are at the expense of every one of our kids, our elderly (yes YOU too) and the victims who cant speak for themselves.

It aint about BIKE levies this time, and thats been the theme from day one so if YOU dont wanna participate, keep ya negative bullshit out of the thread.
And dont bitch about the waiting lists when you need a new hip either, its apathy like yours and good old fashioned 'right and leftism' that is the root cause of the issue to start with
    Just ride.

Hmmm, so you just threw "freedom of speech" out the window along with "freedom to choose" as well.

Your attitude reinforces my decision, you go your way, I'll go mine! Simple really, nothing more to discuss!

Fair enough. But ask yourself...do you want to pay more, and get less in return? Regardless of 'political beliefs' I think the answer to that question is crucial.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
