Stuff says he pitched over a bank and fell. When ACC goes up there'll be more of these. Especially if we're going to give the owners of bigger bikes a larger incentive to do a runner.

    Fuck.

Shit thought something was up when we came through there and heard the sirens from here too. Not any of the Monster crew - we would just pull over, take the damn ticket and pay it.

Hmmm just said Johnsonville on the news and now I see that it is Newlands.

Really bad start of the year for bikers - that said at just after 9am this morning there was an MX bike (no license plate) riding into central wellington today on SH1 doing about 85 in the outside lane, I passed him just before the ateo quay exit. That bloke needs his head looking at.

Well, there were three last weekend and someone on here said there were two the weekend before that.

To be honest, I can't even be arsed researching it.

I agree with this, combined with the decreasing liklihood of being fairly treated by the Police and courts.

I think it is worse here in Qld where the Police are on a bike hate - athon. Lately they have been pulling bikes over, demanding that the rider remove helmet, then taking photograps of the rider, his licence, and his bike.

    I don't think this is legal...but what would I know...Im not a Policeman!

It looks like they are trying to build a database to reduce "runners"

Biker dies running from police 13/01

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/3228...police-pursuit

A 29-year-old man died after attempting to escape police on his motorcycle near Wellington this afternoon.

Police spotted the speeding rider on State Highway 1 near Tawa as he headed toward the capital about 4.20pm.

Area commander Peter Cowan told NZPA a patrol car gave chase but soon lost sight of the man when he left the motorway and headed into the suburb of Newlands.

Mr Cowan said police were still speaking to witnesses, but it appeared the man had lost control, crashing over a bank and falling about 15 metres to his death.

Man, I was in Queensland over the Xmas holidays and I couldn't believe the amount of riders I saw in shorts, t-shirts and JANDALS. Really amazed me at the stupidity especially on the main roads doing about 120.

let's hope it doesn't....quite pointless and a funeral costs way more than a speeding fine.

Saw it on the news, no details there, read it on here, still no details. Could've been a bike thief running from the cops for all we know currently. Might have nothing to do with proposed acc fee increases.

Saw a group the other day. I think they at least had jackets on... all on big sports bikes, all wearing jandals and shorts. Was quite funny actually.
