    New Zealand here we come
Well it is finally coming together

On the 14th of Febuary we leave Colorado USA bound for New Zealand. We arrive in Auckland on Tueday 16th of Feb and take a flight to Nelson where are long planned journey begins.
    1. We will be staying in Nelson for the 16th and 17th riding out each day.

    2. On to Christchurch for the 18th departing on the 21st.

    3. Dunedin will be our next area to stay 21st, 22nd, 23rd again riding out each day.

    4. On to Queenstown for the 24th and 25th. Then working our way to the North island for a flight back to Colorado on the 28th. (maybe)

If any of you kiwi,s would like to show of your areas in the different towns we will be staying in would love to here from you. We are renting our bikes from Go Tours and will be riding KTM'S 990 Adventures. Would like to do as much off road riding suitable for the 990's as possible. Thanks for any ideas. We look forward to trip of a life time....cheers

you should deffinitly make a trip up the coromandel.....theres lots of dirt road's with no cars on them and plenty of cool little places and nice beaches. A ride to waikawau bay is un-beatable, its about 3 hours from auckland, probualy the nicest beach ive been to in nz, very remote.

You've chosen a nice time to come weather wise.

Slot this into the Adventure riding forum and you will get the south island guys offering a list of places to explore....they may not see this thread in the touring forum!

Have a look at the adventure routes website, Ryan has a list of of most of the readily accessible off road / interesting bits to play on, looking at your timetable I suspect this trip is really all south island so unless you have a few (4 or 5) spare days concentrate on that are rather than trying to fit the north island into one day.
