Anyone broken a rear suspension linkage pin?

rear suspension linkage pin before? the tube that runs on the roller bearings that the bolt goes through

and inb4 ktm crowd- ktm's have something similar at the bottom of the shock

anyway, ive managed to break one of these pins somehow! didnt know until i went to grease my linkages today... - usually about a 15 min job btw

i would post a photo of it broken in 2 places, but my laptop is too poked to read memory cards anymore (so i found out right now)

you mean the inner race of the roller bearing? that shit should never break! anything else damaged that might have caused it to break?

yeah, the big thick pins. the pin that if it were going through a piston would be called a gudgeon pin... in fact may be called that anyway...

broken about 1/4 along, and about 3/4 along. nothing else broken, dont recall doing any phenominal serious bottom out landings recently!

Yup used to break them all the time on my TT600. Got a fitter and turner to make me up a few spares, if they didn't bend they would snap.

Might get you to grease the linkage on my RM250 next time your up. Don't worry about the KTM, it doesn't need greasing.

Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!
