You fellahs are obviously running short gearing, they'll do a lot more than that if you gear for top speed. Not much use on the MX track or in the forest, granted, but necessary for beach racing.

Im doin 90% trail, so i'm happy to cruise at 100 max on road. cheaper and less likely to loose licence that way.

250 2t mx'ers are only good for about 160kph with beach gearing

Yeah, that's a lot more than 115. I was seeing 140+ on the 200's speedo. Years ago I did track day at Oran Park, shared a pit with a chappie riding a CR250 with the highest gearing he could fit. He was maxing out at 160ish down the front straight, getting passed by everything, then spent the rest of the lap passing everything back again!! Of course, some of the tar babies had a problem with this Pre-dated motard racing in this part of the world.
