    Bike hire in Auckland?

The guy who own's the Ducati I look after is coming to NZ for a few days at the end of the month and is bringing his girlfriend along with him. She currently rides a Triumph 675 Daytona. They are looking to hire a bike for a day, possibly two.

Can anyone suggest a reputable bike hire company in Auckland that will have something sporty, or at worst maybe a sports-tourer that she can hire? My guess is she'll be wanting something similar to her 675, so something light-ish and not too much over 100hp would be good.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Try the hire company in Cycletreads they have a few to choose from. Not heard anything bad about them.

You could try the bike hire section of the Wiki, but I think they may not be very suitable:

If you find someone else doing hiring, could you add a wiki entry, or post back here and I'll add it?

EDIT: These people talk about doing hiring in Auckland:

Try BADCAT on this site, he does motorcycle hire, but if he does not have what they want, he might know someone!

Drury Performance Center, down this way Hire bikes. I don't know if it is just tourers, but they sometimes have a sports bike alongside the harleys out front.

Cheers guys. Boman - Drury is a bit of a mission to get a bike, they'll be staying on the North Shore so that'd mean a round trip of nearly 2hrs just to get a bike and then start heading North (which I assume the are).
