Another KTM thread for the bashers

Just came across this pic of Shane Kings World Champion Ship KTM360 that I thought some might like to see.

    Thanks Danger,

360 2 stroke that'd be a beast. I didn't actually know he won it on a Ktm?? Cheers!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Yes, both our World MX Champions won on KTM, not that it matters off course.

He didn't get to keep his world championship bike, would be nice to have sitting in yah garage,
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

We met a guy out at the Sandpit just before Christmas riding an older KTM 300/360 who reckoned it was an ex Shayne KIng machine. Not the world champ bike but maybe something he rode here?

He would have his fair share of trophies, he's won over the years, that would just top of the trophy cabinet.

Think I've met that guy before, said it was the 360 with a 300exc bottom end or something, oh belonged to shayne king.

Also saw a guy at a riverhead ride on one of those old 360sx's, he was getting along great, the bike had that good aggresive 2stroke noise that exc's don't, looked like a fun bike to ride.
    Broken bikes wanted, pm details

Well, awesome....But........I think you will find that although it won, it cost at LEAST twice as much to buy and maintain as any other bike in the championship.....

Because as we all know from reading these forums . KTM's cost at least twice as much to buy and maintain as any other bike ....

There are still quite a few of these beasts still around and they go quite well. Probably as well as most modern Hondas LOL.
Talking about 360's I used to have a Yami DT360 back in the 70's. Now that was a beast. had the kick from hell.

    Anyone got a pic?
