Cheap Benelli 500cc GP bike on ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Other...USQ3a102#v4-36

$8100 USD with two days to go.

Check the link, the photos are excellent. There is a chick posing with the bike unfortunately which partially obscures the view. She does have an arse like a racehorse though. (in a good way: you could crack eggs on it)

I'd still prefer to just own the bike, it would cost me less in maintenance.

What did that poor 500 Benelli quattro do to deserve that. It is some poor road bike been tarted up, but it ain't no Factory 500 GP bike, in fact the quattro was a spaghetti version of a CB500 / 4 Honda. Front brake is off a Benelli 650 twin Tornado.

If it was the real deal, it would have an extra nought on the buy now price....

I'm so glad you posted that...... I was about to stick my neck out and say a similar thing.....that's no Factory 500GP Benelli.

I have seen one "in the flesh" and it had friggin disc brakes!

As one would expect for a 500GP bike in 1974.

Didn't Mr Beale do a run of replica Benelli 500/4 GP bikes, like the 250/6 Hondas?

Not sure if a run as such, but I do recall him having a replica. There's replica Gilera 4's and MV 3's around also, plus teh Paton, but that's not a replica as it is made by the same guys...as well as th ubiquitous Manx and G50's.
