From a newbies point of view, I think it would be a brilliant idea for one of the more experienced riders to film a newbie when on a ride, then they can watch it together and mistakes pointed out. Mistakes can be learnt from and that's how you gain experience.

Also, as a newbie, it would be good to see experienced riders' videos to see "how it's done".

    Good Idea

    Cool!
That first video is pretty crazy sped up like that. And it makes me nervous when you change lanes because I can't see what's in the lane next to you. Get a helmet cam!

    Nice pyrocam,

Just remember to always use it. You know if you ever forget it you'll miss that once-in-a-lifetime sequence.

Your absolutley right! when I was getting out of auckland I came across this freaking awesome car. It looked like a go cart and the drivers head came up to my foot. damn cool. not my riding being filmed but still a cool shot to get.

I _think_ it said RX_7 on the back. it had like 6 exhausts. it was about 5cm from the road at the front.

the unfortuanate thing is that its not super easy to put on and take off as I use a bucketload of tape to reduce vibration and to make sure that if my bolts fail it doesnt fall off

    *edit:

Can anyone host for me. I have only about 9MB available on orcon. I expect the new vid to come out at maybe 12-15 or so. Ideally. would make it 50 but some people arnt on broadband blah blah

Virtualdub is definitely an important piece of kit. Another good website resource is doom9.

DC is a good tool for sharing. There's numerous public hubs in NZ, so you don't have to worry about international traffic. I'm generally in about 6 hubs 24/7.

Ahhm.I use Virtual Dub pretty much predominantly.
    at the moment I use:
VD to record and to take clips
Animation shop to flip the clips (takes like forever)
    and premiere to add audio.

Im about to test my clip so ahhm. I need somwhere to put it. I could put it on DC but thats a rather limited market.

I should be able to take care of that as long as to many people are not going to use it. Have a home server that is always on so should be fine.

Another option is get an domain name from no-ip.com. You then use the domain name to set up a "site" on your computer and share the files via that. The benefit of it is particularly helpful if you don't have a static ip as it automatically updates to you actual ip. Doesn't have to be a flash site, just a simple ftp will do. The only downside is of course, it's not accessible if you're not online.
