    Woodville motocross?

I was just looking through KB to see if there was any discussion/comment on this week ends racing at Woodville!

My grandson (12) is going up there to test his luck up and see how he measures up!

The weather looks a bit dodgy but at least it's the same for everyone, should be a good meeting!

    Thank's very much for that!

I have found their events and their names and numbers on the listings but can't post it to them, they are already on their way up!

Guess they will know all that, it's just grandad that was still in the dark!

    I will have a lurk on [ holeshot.co.nz ].

In a funny way it's a bit nostalgic for me, him going up there to race motorbikes, I grew up in Woodville and learned to ride motorbikes there way back in the 1950's!

Hope everyone has packed there gumboots! Last weekend there was meant to be a cross country in Dannevirke(only 15mins up the road), but was cancelled as was too wet, they had 120mms overnight, and as wet as woodville can be, its meant to rain this weekend so prepare for a mudfest! Wish i was going....

True! The weather forecast is not a good look!

My memory tells me that Woodville can always be counted on for it's extreme weather.

Extreme rain, extreme fog, extreme wind and when it actually does happen, extreme sunshine!

As my grandson said to me before he left, whatever, it will be the same for everyone!

Hope they have a good time and that he gets to know a lot of his peers and gets a measure of his capabilities among them!

It's got all the makings for a good week end.

Should anyone be at all interested.

Our little bloke ended up seventeenth overall in his class and is pleased with his performance and result, everything being taken into consideration!

I don't yet know how the other rider got on in his class.

Apparently they all enjoyed the experience of the event.

    Me too!

1939 to 1954, Woodville was a great place to be a kid! (still got some relatives left there)

Congrats to your grandson, always nice to know.
The experience is what its all about for most.
I miss my grandson, you shouldn't have favorites, but of all the grandkids (they all can ride) he was the one with the competitiveness.
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

seems to be some interesting results today, by all accounts it was very wet, only 2 races of 3 run,

congrats to James Ainsworth (125) and JEsse Wiki (MX2) on winning their first ever major senior meetings, BT won the MX1 and Justin McDonald won teh feature
