Microsoft is an upstanding company with good morals who has the best interests of society at heart.

    tee hee!
I've got a modded xbox, and it's loaded with games. But if there are any games that I play that come across as being worth paying for, then I'll go out and buy them! simple really. I don't think it's fair to pay $100 for a game that you come home and play for 20 mins, then never want to play again cos it's a heap of crap. I'm sure the cut that the game developers get out of the sale of games is pretty insignificant compared to the cut everyone else takes out of the final purchase price anyway.

it doesn't really matter if you don't like it.
so I walk in to MS place purchase some software rip it open when i get home and start to install it, read through the EULA which is about 900 pages of junk and find i disagree with it. Put software back in box and return to MS place to get my refund. " i am sorry you have opened it cant refund you!" is what they will say! so bollocks to paying for software that has no right of return!

i should really have shut up, shouldn't i?
sorry to open a can of worms., the last thing i want is to argue the MS is the antichrist thing - especially on my day off.
    actually....
    i don't even use windows - i'm a mac guy. i use a mac because i don't like windows.
i work with the macintosh apps for MS...
    Guys - i'm sorry.
my point was about IP theft - not that MS is/isn't evil.
can we just forget my post and pretend it never happened?

I have a modded xbox and over 60 games on DVD. They are all copies and I have never paid for an xbox game in my life..... however that's where the similarities end and I'm with Badcat on this one.

The difference between me and the rest of you is that I know what I'm doing is wrong and accept it. I don't try to justify my actions with lame excuses like "blah gates is rich enough already" or "your products are shit so that means I'm allowed to copy anything for free", you can say whatever you want but you are only fooling yourselves.

I got MotoGP2 but its a copy and you need a modchip to play it.

Also, the xbox takes your typical PC IDE hard drive. Mine has a 120GB at the moment - been meaning to swap in the 200GB but just been to lazy. And modding your xbox doesn't affect its reliability unless you've butchered the install.

Charging 120+ for a game is the crime. How much does it cost to make that cd? 2 bucks?

Its in the same league as 30bucks for a cd, or download it for free?

Make them cheaper and ill buy the original, try and rip ppl off and your gonna get ripped off yourself.

PS sorry if i reopened the can of worms

Costs a bit for the development of the software ahe!?! So I think the end disc would cost a tad more than what the actual disc is worth blank. I'll put in one of the 120gig HDDs in once the warrenty runs out. Sure eventually I'll find the motogr2 original 2nd hand though...

I think 120 is a bit much, but that would be xbox and ps2 wouldnt it ? most PC games come out close to 100. I fiqure that the amount of time Ive played bf.v it has cost me about 20cents an hour. I feel sorry for the poor programmers stuck in thier little windowless rooms, virgins one and all, tip tapping away at thier keyboards wondering if they will ever see the sun again.....................
