I liked my Zumo on the Dusty Butt. Worked pretty well for the first time I have really had to use it and rely on it for directions. Good bit of kit.
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

we might not agree on a unit but it seems every one agrees it should be garmin.
I have 3 different units all for different times.
e-trax for hunting, most of the bells and whistles but i only use it when i have to check where i am.
forerunner 305 for running, off road, or mapping new areas, even more bells and whistiles also will down load to my mapping software or it can be link to laptop/computer for continous mapping.
NUVI 500 for car/bike, needed a ram mount for bike but i used to put it in my tank bag and that was fine. I have found that the voice was alright then i just turned it off, no bluetooth)

i have seen a few people using some of the higher spec garmin units and with those you can load all the maps into.
    Check out http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us
if you find somthing you want shop around, all of my units and add-on's came from the states except the 305 that was from NZ.
This is what makes Garmin so good, it doesn't matter where you buy if from they work any where with the right maps.
