My wife comes home yesterday and tells me a motorcyclist has just crashed at the intersection of East Coast Rd and Browns Bay Rd.

She looks daggers at me. Anti-bike daggers.

The daggers are meant to mean that the crash proves bikes are dangerous blah blah blah.

If your missus is going to come home and look daggers at you, tell her not to come home. If she's going to look daggers at anyone perhaps they should be 'looked at' the person who caused the accident, be they the rider him/herself or the person responsible for the oil spill, if the spill caused the spill.

Her argument that bikes are dangerous is much the same as the old (and tired) "guns kill people" bullshit.

Tell her either she pulls her head in or she fucks off. Simple.

That farken East Coast Road is a farken shocker ..... I don't think I have ever been on that stretch of road without seeing those pretty rainbows all over it!!!

One would hope that the life partner they have chosen to mate with would share a similar outlook and interest in things. Being able to talk things out and make agreement or compromise is what it is all about. To simply go and buy something without discussion makes me thinketh that he knew she would not approve, and automatically puts him on the back foot. Only bullies push it past that point Reading below, she will get over it eventually though, which must be such a relief for him.

Nah I don't have to ask permission but she would normally expect to be consulted when I spend thousands of dollars of our money. She was pissed about that aspect of it, but she's getting used to the idea of me having a bike again.
