Flyin memorial ride. Martinborough, Sunday 8 May

There appears to be a general desire for a ride to honour Flyin/Sam, and to ride past/stop at/lay flowers and other tributes at the site of his accident.

Given the potential high level of interest, I recommend meeting up at Martinborough at about midday and riding out in convoy from there, rather than a large stream of bikes heading across the Takas.

But others may have other ideas, and we would be happy to go with the flow.

I have just sent an email to some of the Hawkes Bay KBer's to see if we can get a few to come along. We will see. I would need to know if this is on by Sunday night. Anyone from south of Napier ( or North) that wants to go are welcome to organise a meeting time at your town. This may or may not happen yet. Will keep you posted. PM me if you want to go and where you would meet up. We would have to leave Napier around 8 ish. Remember this is still only an idea and it is not a definite ride but I would like to do somethin. Till later.

I am coming down tomorrow night but have to get back after the funeral, I have my first race on Sunday in Taupo so cant stay on.

Have a good ride though, see how safe you can make it though huh

I will have a spare seat if anyone needs a pillion. If the weather is really bad I can take the car which will have 3 spare seats.

For those coming from afar you are more than welcome to come to mine on Saturday. I will be at work and not home till 10pm but can leave a key with the neighbours so you can make yourselves at home. My home is a Kbers home

Is this ride still on? I will send mail to the locals here and see if they are going. The weather is not looking to good but we will see.
