I haven't sown it yet, so you're welcome. You can help drag the roller around afterwards as well.

950 in for servicing? Ohhh thats gonna cost you. Watched my friend putting his 950 back together after removing enough bits to get at the plugs (it got drowned in a river) Left tank, right tank, centre console, sump guard, assorted bits of fairing, lots of hoses and connectors. If the valve shims are included in the service even more bits.

The wee KTM 50 on the stand behind was a lot easier to deal to

On our TOTSI (Top Of The South Island) ride coupla weeks ago. Went over Napoleon Hill, which brings you (by way of some really shitty downhill snot) to a very pretty stream which ends up going through three tunnels. Someone from that region will know the name. Anyway the KTM ended up on its side in the stream, with one of the mufflers under water. When it was picked up the water ran into the cylinder. Hydrauliced when trying to start, so plugs out (with all that entails) Ran the battery flat trying to start. Others in the party went for help, got assist from the farmer who lives at the end of that track. Absolutely top bloke, first he took his quad up there with jumper leads, then when that didn't work went back for his Hilux and took THAT up the stream, through the tunnels etc, bought the bike (and rider) back and stored the bike in the barn overnight. When I took Al back the next day from where we were staying in Reefton, the rear tube blew (again - the wheel was out three times in two days but thats another story) so we rode the last 10 km on a flat back tyre which was interesting, to say the least. So got to the farm and the farmer provided me with a bike stand and tube repair gear while Al got on with drying out the 950, including draining the milkshake/oil . Took a while and the beast only fired after shooting engine start ether down the carbs while jump starting it off the Hilux (had already run the farmers spare battery flat - big batteries too).

Farmer was absolutely great, no problems about using his tools, compressor, etc. He has a bunch of bikes in the shed for his kids junior motocross.
