how about, we start the ride at pahiatua, this makes it closer to welly, and kapiti coast riders, and my self..

then start off with range road, back to the sadle road, in to ashhurst and north from there, im not sure of your time frame and distances for day one.
maybe save makiro track for a last special stage, on day two.

    hows that sound.
Heaven help me - Makairo at the end of day 2 AGAIN! You're determined to get me into shape aren't you Joe!

Like your Pahiatua start suggestion Joe.
    Cheers, Dave

Thanks for that Nordie. I'm a bit of a novice at this interweb thing.

Cheers Joe, but I think we'll have far enough to go on the Saturday. I was thinking of tacking it on the end of Sunday, as Sunday may be a bit empty.

Sunday = Napier to Dannevirke (scenic route) to Makairo then Mangatainoka. Either Pahiatua, North Range Road, Woodville, Whariti finish.
Or, Woodville, Whariti finish, and quick rip through North Range Road for those heading south. We can make it up as we go along on the day. If we do N Range Road first on the Saturday, we may end up a bit rushed.

    Thumbs up

OK I've committed - looking forward to another weekend of fun and adventure - will decide closer to the time whether to give 'rubber ducky' (yellow 1150) an outing or not - will depend on the amount of rain in the days leading up to the event (for Takapari Rd) - I've no plans to repeat Makairo in a hurry though - I'm over that track for now - constantly being hit in the head by the shrubbery not my idea of fun - specially stinging nettles
