all clean to report and handed me the ticket... $120 and 20 demerits...

We then had about a 5-10 minute chat about bikes and some of the chases that had happened some ending good and some not so good...

Geeez, when I read this one ! You might as well kissed his feet and thanked him for booking you ! Never read some schizo shit like that before ! The porker was out there to get you and he got you, so you go on chattering along with him for ages later ??? Sorry mate, my personality profile doesn't match that ! I would have taken it with pride and would have taken off as fast as I could because I don't wanna get "Swine Flu" !
They're NOT out there to make friends with ya, they're out there to book ya, demerit and bleed the $ from ya so they get the merit and the $ and nothing else but that !
Do you also ride with light blue or even pink goggles on ?

Yeah I do realise that my own daughter could be coming the other way. But often silly drunk twats just need a bit of preventative guidance to help them grow up and become much more responsible citizens.
My own daughter did her share of silly twat things when younger, got a bit of guidance and a couple of breaks from our law enforcers to lead her to where she is now. Holding a professional aviators certificate, a future and as a result is a very responsible young lady.
A criminal record would not have allowed that to have happened. You can either educate, or you can legislate.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Was he out to get me... no he was not... he was not the highway patroll but an officer returning from a job and thought i was going to fast...

I did accept the ticket and no did not kiss his feet... I respect he has a job to do and TBH one I would not like to do...
Who said they are there to make friend... not me but whats wrong with having a conversation.... and guess what it was about bikes.....
FFS are police not aloud to have a life either...

Its attitude like yours that when you get pulled up or the police are around give the police more reason to be harder or have an attitude back...

Just saw where you live mate ! Good old ChCh, where cops are still nice people ! Good on yer ! I live in the greater Auckland area and sadly, cops here aren't !
They declared bikers as their favorite prey to gather brownie points and the rest, riding here is like runniing the gauntlet and their constant and obvious presence really puts a damper on a day out on two wheels. Sure, there's a few hoons around here who need to be put into their spot, but the rest of us is paying the price.
I don't count myself to that category, I've been ridin for 35 years mate ! But my aversion against bacon is there and it's just ! At least for me !

There are hoons everywhere that need to be put in there place... just look at all the news stories about the chch boyracers...

Some like the police... some do not...some are good cops some are not, but in the end who do you call if your bike or cage is stolen, or your house is robbed... or someone you know is raped...or, or, or and the list goes on...

They are doing there job... some good and some well rather questionable at times... that happens in all jobs... I myself would not want to do there job... going to murder and accident scenes scraping body parts up... I dont care how good you are it has to affect them some how...

Also when people have have been pulled up who knows what the officers last job was or the attitude of the last person he/she has pulled up... that may have a big bearing on how they respond to you or treat you... even tho it shouldn't it does happen...

This topic was mainly to show that not all people stopped from the police do not have bad experiences.... like the ones we always hear about...
I just thought I would post up my experience and that it was not the he made this up or did me for something I did not do... just a policeman doing his job... he was friendly and a normal person, not smug or obnoxious... yeas he did relieve me of some money and put some demerits on my licence, but hell I was speeding and I know the consequences when I get caught.

FINE. This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

There are rapists in all communities... some caught and some not...

I dont class it as being raped of my money... as I have said I chose to speed...I played the game and I got caught so I pay my dues...

blipping thru this thread I have come to the simple thoughts of.... hell if your 18 or 60.... it don't matter, a 60 yr old can get angry at the copper... and the 18 yr old goes whatever, I did the crime I pay the fine.... or vice versa... for me I like the fact the fine was accepted and he moved on... I would prob spit the dummy at myself for speeding and then getting caught.... but still pay the fine. Curiously tho the people that got done for DIC in this thread... I would prefer keys off them before they entered car, to save one life is better than paying a fine for DIC...and hope like hell they don't do it again... TUI.

Toodling home from work, drongo pulls out right in front of me I have to swing out round him (two lanes so ok and did have time to check space) give a bit of a blip on the throttle to 'fly past' so go over 50. When I pull in I see copper has pulled into traffic from somewhere. 'Crap' how much did I do wrong/did he see?
He follows for a few K of which along the way I have a family wagon pull out in front of me so have to emergency brake, Copper luckily doesn't rear end me and my nuts are only a little retracted. A quick cough to get the boys back in place and we're underway again. Up to a transit lane and I pull over into it and drop to 48kmh hoping he'll get bored and sod off. He does, but as he crawls past me I look across and he's got the biggest smile on his face and waving like crazy. then off he goes. I laughed because he obviousley loved putting the shitters up little learners like me.
Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.
