Yeah it's on trade me and we've got a friend who is going to look at it today, i was about to consider asking someone from here who's in christchurch to attend haha, cause i don't think my friend has any knowledge on bikes.

It been down on it RHS but nothing major by the looks, great buying at $2k.
But, that is less than 1/2 the price of the very same model in other areas?

Yeah the cosmetics we can fix easily, the bracket can also be fixed, i'm just worried if there's anything wrong with it internally.

Looks pretty good provided it runs ok. Someone would need to take it for a ride to make sure the gearbox and clutch etc isn't mangled but generally these bikes are pretty good.
Note that the rear left exhaust hanger/pillion peg bracket is snapped in half and held together by some wire by the looks of it. I've got a spare one of these you can have if you want it.
Also, check the clutch cable and handlebars it looks like the left one might be bent a bit. Looks like it's been crashed more than once with damage on both sides.
Should be ok though, you can pick up a new tinted etc screen for $165 here http://www.godiva.co.nz/models.php?mk=9
I'd either make him get a WOF or sign some sort of agreement that if it isn't up to WOF standard he will pay to fix it etc.

Yeah this is all stuff we gotta look at, and discuss before we buy hence why we have the mate coming down for it.

been down hard on the left it looks like: bent handlebar, broken muffler bracket, lots of new parts on that side. the rhs stuff looks cosmetic.
