    kwaka zx4r

    Hey, thinking of buying a bike for commuting on the motorway in the morning what are the ZX4Rs' like to ride? 1987 30,000 ks a lot? what sort of proplems are common in these bikes?

    30000kms is low, but dont know much about them sorry...

    If the kms are correct its pretty good, the ZX4 is a pretty strong bike and very similiar to the ZXR400H. Engines arent too bad but like anything if its been trashed, who knows. See if you can take it to a bike shop for an appraisal, $2K is OK buying for one of those. Its not original paint, but looks OK.

    That 'alucardious' guy on trademe seems to have a hobby of asking lots of questions on auctions. Followed by bidding until it is $10 below the reserve.

    if you dont know how they are supose to go, might pay to get the compresion checkd, if the motor is good than you should be alrite.
    My zxr 250 has 52k on the clock and it runs great
